As a partner of Aquila AG, we have the privilege of benefiting from a strong network that gives us access to high-quality services. Legal, compliance & risk, accounting, and IT functions are handled by Aquila AG, allowing us to focus fully on our core business: the dedicated support of our clients and the assessment of developments in the financial markets.

Aquila AG was founded in 2000 by Max Cotting as a service platform for independent asset managers in Switzerland.

Custodian banks and research

Renowned partnerships.

Assets managed on behalf of our clients are held with the custodian bank of their choice and registered in the client’s name. Asset management is conducted under a limited power of attorney, allowing us to manage assets efficiently together with our clients, while ensuring that no funds can be transferred or disposed of without their authorization.

In our role as an external asset manager, we represent our clients’ interests vis-à-vis their chosen custodian bank and closely monitor the services provided.

Thanks to our strong reputation and the total assets under management, we receive attractive preferential conditions from our custodian banks. These are passed on directly and in full to our clients in the form of on reduced custody fees and brokerage commissions.

We also have full access to equity research and macroeconomic analyses provided by these custodian banks.

Audit and supervisory bodies

Security through independent oversight.

Buhler Asset Management Ltd. is an asset manager qualified under the Financial Institutions Act (FINIG) and provides asset management and portfolio advisory services.

We are licensed and supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), which ensures that our services adhere to the highest legal standards of transparency, quality, and integrity.

Audits are conducted by PwC AG within the Aquila structure. In addition, we are affiliated with the FINSOM ombudsman's office, which acts as a neutral mediation body in accordance with the Financial Services Act (FIDLEG).
